What is Black Friday?
Black Friday began in the US as the biggest sales day after Thanksgiving and first arrived in the UK in 2010. It is now one of the biggest sales events of the year, along with Amazon Prime Day and the January sales.
Most fashion brands and retailers offer discounts on full-price items for at least 24 hours on Black Friday itself, but it’s common for sales to start about a week before the big day. The deals tend to continue through Cyber Weekend and Cyber Monday, the first Monday after Black Friday.
When is Black Friday 2023?
In 2023, Black Friday will fall on Friday, November 24. It always takes place on the fourth Friday in November, after Thanksgiving. However, the deals start going live the week before this or even at the beginning of the month and last until Cyber Monday, which is Monday, November 27 this year.
